Berry Crumble
Super Simple Berry Crumble
This is one dessert we let the children eat anytime, even for breakfast. You will need:
The Berry Bit…
1 Packet of Organic Berries
1/2 Cup of Sultanas
1 Lemon Juiced
1 Tblspn of your preferred sweetener such as agave or honey
The Crumble Bit
1 Cup of Almonds or Walnuts
1 Cup of Cashews
1/4 Cup of Coconut
1 Cup of Pitted Dates
Pop your frozen berries in a colander, tip the lemon juice and honey over them and leave them to defrost. It is important they defrost in a colander as they will lose liquid and you don’t want this liquid soaking into the crumble. Put the nuts into the processor and crush them until they are fine, add the coconut and dates and continue to crush everything up until it becomes slightly sticky.
Once your berries are defrosted mix in the sultanas and place into a baking dish. Press the crumble down over the top of the berries and bake at 180 Degrees Celsius for approximately 15 minutes. You will be amazed at how yummy this simple, healthy dessert is.
