HALT the craving
Got a craving? Want to know why?
Are you bursting for a piece of chocolate? Maybe it’s something else like a drink or a cigarette? Well before you reach out for a quick fix consider this:
Are you Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired? This 30 second pause can provide major health benefits so take a moment to think about the real reason behind your craving, your body will thank you for it.
Perhaps it’s none of these things? What do you do then? Our number 1 recommendation is to drink a large glass of water, sometimes we are dehydrated and the symptoms manifest in other ways (such as cravings).
So remember, before you reach for the chocolate just think:
Hungry
Angry
Lonely
Tired
and if this isn’t the problem try a glass of water.
