How to feel better in 1 hour
Tired, grumpy or sad? Here are 3 tips to make you feel better in 1 hour or less
Those days sneak up on us all, you feel grumpy but you aren’t even sure why? Perhaps it’s nothing in particular you just feel a little sad or you just can’t seem to get going, you feel so lethargic and tired?!
Well when you have moments like that here are 3 steps to help you feel better really quickly:
1. Drink a big glass of water – Often we feel out of balance because we are dehydrated and we haven’t recognized the signs yet
2. Do something nice for someone else – Make a phone call, send an email, write a letter, take out your neighbor’s trash, walk the dog, tidy your teenager’s bedroom, bake a cake for a friend, go watch a busker and throw $10 in his hat, say “hi” to a stranger. This list of options is endless. Random acts of kindness get you out of your own head and help you forget your troubles for a while plus you are left with the knowledge you have made someone’s day brighter, maybe they even needed it more than you did
3. Skip – Most of us have not skipped since we were children, skipping gets the blood flowing, it helps with co-ordination and it makes you feel happy. So skip around the dining table, skip around the yard, take the kids to the park and go skipping. You will be amazed at how quickly you feel better.
